Your supplier for Volta conveyor belts and belts
We are now a Premium Partner of VOLTA Belting, the market leader and pioneer for monolithic (homogeneous) conveyor belts and manufacturer of high-quality V-belts and round belts as well as other speciality products made of polyurethane.
WHAT ARE "HOMOGENEOUS BELTS"
Homogeneous conveyor belts are extruded from polyurethane "in a single mould". As Volta has optimised the mixing ratios of the material, they do not require tension members or supporting fabric inserts, unlike conventional conveyor belts.
There are also variants with extruded teeth on the running side ("positive drive"), which, like a timing belt or modular belt, enable a positive and therefore slip-free drive. These belts also run tension-free, but - unlike modular belts - fulfil the highest hygiene requirements.
THE ADVANTAGES OVER CONVENTIONAL CONVEYOR BELTS AND MODULAR BELTS
Homogeneous belts really come into their own when used in the food industry. They do not fray at the belt edges and therefore do not offer any surface for microbes to attack. Once the belt edges of conventional synthetic belts are damaged, microbes and bacteria can penetrate the belt more or less unhindered. The same applies to belts with fabric on the running side. Damage to almost any part of the belt can also be repaired easily and at least provisionally, but often also permanently. All you need is a simple welding tool and the appropriate technical expertise. Fabric belts are then generally "a case for the bin". Another advantage: cleaning is much easier and quicker - also and above all in comparison with modular belts, which are very difficult to clean depending on their design, and cost reductions of up to 50% for energy sources such as chemicals and water are quite realistic.
Always up to date
Whether it be products or services – there is a lot to discover in our comprehensive offering. If you would like to find out more about a certain topic, you will find a constantly updated selection of additional links, downloads and videos in our info centre. This way you can stay up-to-date and give yourself a head start with the latest know-how.
Are homogeneous belts more expensive than "normal" belts?
In direct comparison, homogeneous belts are now only slightly more expensive than conventional synthetic belts of the same dimensions.
If you look at the follow-up costs, the tide even turns - due to the use of significantly less water, time and energy for cleaning, the aforementioned repair options and ultimately often longer service lives.
Compared to modular belts, homogeneous belts with Positive Drive are often even more favourable in direct comparison. Converting a modular belt conveyor to a homogeneous belt with Positive Drive is often possible at a reasonable cost. The same applies to converting fabric belts to homogeneous flat belts.
In both cases, we would offer an on-site assessment or a detailed specification of the belt to be replaced.
THE VOLTA QUALITY PROMISE
Volta is the inventor and market leader and is synonymous with homogeneous belts. They are continuously being developed further.
In collaboration with Volta, we offer by far the widest range of variants in the field of homogeneous conveyor belts, with almost unlimited and ultra-modern finishing and profiling options and a constantly well-stocked central warehouse in Enschede on the Dutch-German border.

CUSTOMISED PRODUCTS AND BELTS FROM VOLTA
Due to Volta's high level of expertise in the mechanical processing of PU materials, the material is also "misused" for many applications and processed into linings, inserts and hoppers for production plants, for example.
"Volta is also the world market leader for round and V-belts made of polyurethane.
