Functionality of progressive lubrication systems:
The central lubrication pump (max. 550 bar) pumps the lubricant to one or several main metering devices. The main metering devices apportion the lubricant in the correct ratio for the auxiliary metering devices which then distribute the correct specified quantity of grease to the consumers. This system allows up to 150 lubrication points with a distance of up to 15 meters (grease) / 100 meters (oil) to be lubricated precisely. The pump is controlled by an electronic control unit (pause and lubrication time).
The progressive central lubrication systems control and distribute the lubricant continuously via a follower piston control unit.

The follower piston control unit allows monitoring with a pressure control valve. If a lubrication point does not take any more lubricant, the follower piston control is interrupted and the metering device is blocked. The lubricant exits from the pressure control valve.
A proximity switch on the metering device allows additional surveillance.
