CLAMPEX^® internal clamping sets are shaft-hub connections, and allow for a friction-locking connection between cylindrical, ungrooved shafts and hub bores with no play.

The wedge-shaped components of the clamping assemblies, which are pushed together using clamping bolts, generate radial forces that ensure a frictional connection between the contact surfaces of the shaft and hub bore. This frictional connection allows for torque and axial force to be transmitted at the same time.

The integrated clamping bolts are used to clamp the clamping assemblies, and to release it as well for some types of clamping assemblies.

CLAMPEX^® internal clamping assemblies are used as an alternative to a feather key connection, for instance, due to their advantages.
